GOVERNOR RUTO ACCORDED HEROIC WELCOME TO BOMET.

BOMET Governor H.E Isaac Ruto was this evening accorded a heroic welcome as he and his entourage arrived in Bomet Town after a week long stay in South Africa where he underwent specialised treatment following injuries he sustained during a football match in Silibwet stadium.

Governor Ruto was received with cheers and jubilations by hundreds of residents who turned up to receive him as his convoy cruise to Bomet Stadium where he addressed hundreds of area residents and his supporters who had pitched tent in the area since midday,  waiting for their leader.

Ruto was accompanied by Kuresoi South MP Zakayo Cheruiyot and his Emurua Dikirr counterpart Johana Ngeno among other several leaders.

Governor Ruto who was in a convoy of more than 300 vehicles backed by hundreds of Boda Boda riders throughout the journey.

Earlier in the Day, The former Council of Governor's chairman made several stopovers on his way as he travelled by road from Nairobi to his Bomet home turf.

He addressed rallies at Ntulele,  Ololung'a,  Mulot,  Longisa and Youth farmers trading centres on his way to Bomet town. 

Ruto thanked Bomet residents,  supporters, friends and those from diaspora for standing with him and praying for his quick recovery following injuries he sustained. 

On Sunday interdenominational prayers will be held at the new Bomet IAAF Stadium where a host of leaders from across the  country are expected to attend.
