The Kiambu County has launched a free wifi connection for the
residents in 4 major towns of Thika, Ruiru, Kikuyu and Kiambu that will link
the county residents to world in connectivity in partnership with Liquid Telcom.
Speaking during the launch Kiambu Governor William Kabogo said
the county has been rated as one of the fastest growing in Africa and is
focused to digitize every department. At the same time Kabogo said the Wifi
connection will create business opportunities for the young people.
Liquid Telcom chief technical officer Hans Haerdtle said the
connectivity will be very fast and create opportunities and will cover a radius
of 5km in every location
